Adam Combs Race Weekend

One of our very talented Obermeyer Yamaha employees, Adam Combs, finished 2nd in the 125B Class at Backwoods MX Sunday, May 17th. Backwoods MX in Tennyson, Indiana had their second race of the season with several classes in both bikes and quads.

Adam maintained his position after coming out of the gate in 2nd place. He kept this position for the remainder of the event. Adam’s Obermeyer Yamaha YZ250F held off the competition for the race and helped him to a podium finish.

Look for Adam to compete in the next race at Backwoods MX on May 31st aboard his white and blue YZ250F.

Welcome to Obermeyer Yamaha’s new blog! This blog will keep current customers and prospective ones in the loop about what’s going on at Obermeyer Yamaha. We will feature some of our products, racing news, and dealer events periodically

First, we’d like to show you our latest and greatest YZ we’ve customized here at Obermeyer Yamaha. The bike is a 2009 YZ450F with several cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. When first looking at the bike you’ll notice the black Acerbis plastics with custom graphics from Johnny Signs (http://www.johnnysigns.com/). These plastics and graphics make this bike stand out! Doing this to your Yamaha can add the custom look or can make your YZ color scheme match your sponsors colors. Also, we’ve added the award winning Acerbis x-seat to improve comfort and grip for the rider (looks great too!).

We then added gold Excel Takasago Aluminum Alloy Rims to add even more strength and color to the bike.

The next mechanical upgrade we added to the bike is the new BRAKING Batfly 270 Oversized Rotor Kit. James Stewart on his 2009 AMA Supercross Championship Yamaha used this oversized rotor. This 270mm braking rotor provides maximum stopping power and increased brake feel. This kit is available for a wide range of Yamaha YZs and WRs.

To complete the bike we’ve also added Pro Taper 2.3 Platform foot pegs, which offer more support and better traction to the rider.
